Few things to consider for building a successful strategy:
1. Understand customers corporate security policies, productivity needs, ROI reduction efforts, digital experience transformation needs, compliance requirements, and security challenges according to verticals.
2. It is important to target the right customers by doing audience research.
3. Understand what SSE vs. SASE is and the relevant use cases
a. SASE includes both security and networking - Which means companies who are looking to provide "network access" (over a WAN or Internet or may be through carriers) to their employees and partners to access on-prem and cloud resources for productivity gains and cost efficiencies + companies who are looking to deploy security to applications, cloud services, and endpoints are interested in a SASE offering for risk mitigation and security resilience - Generally speaking.
b. SSE - This is a pure play security offering securing on prem and cloud users, apps/cloud apps, services/cloud services, and endpoints (possibly) for deploying unified security for improved productivity, observability, risk mitigation, reduced downtime, data leak prevention, privacy, compliance, and security resilience - Generally speaking.
3. Target the right shows and events for effective promotion, awareness, and branding
4. Blogging about security best practices that cater to companies who are looking to adopt SSE or SASE.
5. Is there a transformational journey that a company can take by first adopting SSE and then deploying a SASE?
6. Estimate TCO for a given company or an enterprise organization that is choosing between SSE vs. SASE. Maybe creating a strategic roadmap that aligns with organizations business goals. One can group companies based on number of employees for example 1000 to 5000, 6000 - 15000 in one group etc.,
7. Some specific verticals might benefit from adopting SSE as opposed to a SASE and vice versa. Document vertical focused use cases if it is necessary.
